LG Action is the name of a European project that deals with analysis from all parts of European on climate and energy issues. Here in the summer of 2011 the project is to be concluded. A report with the conclusions of LG Action has therefore been published.
The official title of the report is "3rd and Final European Local Government Positioning on Climate and Energy". The report contains a lot of interesting reading for local government staff with responsibility for climate and energy issues.
Furthermore, there is a lot of interesting reading in the final report of LG Action. The title is "LG Action – Final Report, Results and Highlights".
LG Action is implemented with finance from the European Commission, the funding programme Intelligent Energy – Europe. The EU will in future decisions and discussions on climate and energy issues make use of the analyses of LG Action, including the time frame "Local Government Climate Roadmap", leading to the UN Summit COP17, to be held at the end of 2011 in Durban.
Local Government Denmark (LGDK) has been a partner in LG Action since the beginning of the project in 2009. The environmental organisation ICLEI Europe has been the coordinator of the project.
