The aim of the project is to draw up and implement guidelines and manuals ensuring that environmental concerns and energy-savings are taken into consideration in building and renovation projects.
Drafts for the following documents have been prepared:

Guidelines for energy and environment requirements when the municipality itself renovates, builds, or supports building projects

Guidelines for energy and environment requirements when the municipality acts as authority or vendor of land, or prepares local plans

Manual for environmentally correct building (mandatory for municipal building, inspiration for private developers)

Guidelines, manuals, and capacity-building plan will be discussed at the political level in June 2009.
After that the different sections will be in charge of implementation. "Planning and Environment" will integrate the documents in the municipal plan and the local plans. "FK-Properties" will use guidelines and manuals in the municipality's new buildings or in renovation projects. "Construction and Housing" will set up requirements for environmental concerns in supported buildings and discuss with private developers how they can integrate environment and energy-savings in building and renovation projects.
