We work with the possibility of using energy willow as CO2-neutral energy.
Project description
We associate a set of specialists and employees of the municipality to work to find the solution to:
- How best chips used in order to solve the CO2 reduction task in Skive Municipality?
- To what extent can the cultivation of energy willow be part of this solution?
- Including in what physical form would be most appropriate to use energy willow and can energy willow resolve other environmental issues.
- How big a reduction in CO2 is achieved by moving to energy willow?
- Where and who can grow energy willow?
- How does the economy look by using energy willow?
Financing
Any production of energy willow must economically rest in itself. Cost of appraisal offset is paid by Skive municipality.
Status and results
We have arranged a workshop where we have invited experts and leaders in the municipality, which may either supplement with knowledge or will possibly be involved in a production or use of energy willow. Everybody suggests that energy willow in some sense will be a part of our energy future – either as chips, pellets, or in addition to biogas plants.
